Identity of Dangerous Robbery Suspect Sought

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 1:30 pm, two black males, armed with handguns, entered the Display Furniture Store, located at 625 W. Parker, in Houston, Texas. The suspect wearing a red shirt approached the owner of the store and demanded money. At the same time, the owner’s family went into a back office and locked the door. The suspect forced the owner to the back of the store and noticed that the office door was closed and noticed movement under the door. The suspect then shot at the door and then pointed the gun back at the owner demanding more money. The owner stated that he did not have any more money, at which time the suspect shot the victim in the head. The suspects then ran out of the store and across the street to a black Toyota 4Runner, which was driven by a black female.

Officers were able to locate the black 4Runner and stopped the vehicle on a traffic stop. It was discovered that the male wearing the red shirt (the shooter) was dropped off just prior to being stopped by police. The suspect is believed to have gotten into the silver Buick with a black front bumper, which can be seen pulling into the parking space next to the 4Runner. The two occupants of the 4Runner have been charged with Aggravated Robbery with a deadly weapon and are identified as Daneall Pillar (34) and Mintez Porter (22). The suspects were also captured on video just prior to the robbery pawning an item.  HPD case #514163-18
