The suspects,
Desmond Jackson, 18, and Chancellor Thompson, 18, are charged with aggravated
robbery with a deadly weapon in the 178th State District Court. Desmond Jackson, 18, and Chancellor Thompson,

According to the complainants, who were walking on the sidewalk in
Downtown Houston at the 1200 block of Dallas, were approached from behind by
four unknown males. Two of the males pulled out handguns while demanding their
personal property. Once the suspects had their valuables, they fled the
location on foot towards San Jacinto Street.
Note: A short time later, the suspects were captured on camera
getting on the Metro rail line.
On May 30,
2025, the case was released to the public by the Houston Police Robbery
Division for the purpose of identifying the unknown suspects. Crime Stoppers
tips were received naming both Desmond Jackson, 18, and Chancellor Thompson, 18
as the possible suspects in the aggravated robbery.
A follow up
investigation was conducted by a Houston Police Robbery Detective where Desmond
Jackson, 18, and Chancellor Thompson, 18 were then identified. Aggravated
robbery (deadly weapon) warrants were filed on June 13, 2025, through the
Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
On July 7,
2025, a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper observed a stolen black
Chevrolet pickup traveling in the 5400 block of Doolittle, in Houston, Texas.
The Trooper initiated a traffic stop on the stolen truck, resulting in a vehicle
pursuit for approximately 12 miles. The vehicle came to a stop at the
intersection of Calhoun and Yellowstone, then resulting in a foot pursuit. The
suspects were captured and identified as Desmond Jackson, 18, and Chancellor
Thompson, 18, who both had aggravated robbery warrants. The suspects were then
transported and booked into the Harris County Jail.
