1 Arrested While 2 Suspects Still Wanted in Aggravated Robbery/Kidnapping

ARRESTED: Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping and the identity of two suspects remain unknown. The incident occurred on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at around 1:20 am at a convenience store gas pumps at the 10900 block of Beechnut, in Houston, Texas.

The suspect, Damari Veals, 18, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping in the 185th State District Court. Damari Veals’ booking photo is attached to this release along with video of the remaining two unknown suspects.

According to the complainants, they had just pulled up to the gas pumps and exited their vehicle. The complainants were immediately approached by three unknown males, who pulled out handguns while demanding their personal property. The suspects searched the complainants and then told them to get back into the vehicle while the suspects also entered the vehicle.

The complainants were forced to drive a few miles away and told to stop the vehicle near an apartment complex at 11200 Bissonnet St. The suspects removed the complainants from the vehicle, assaulted them by striking them in the head with their handguns, and then told to walk away from the location. The suspects got back into the complainant’s vehicle and fled the scene. Houston PD #1107202-25

A follow up investigation was conducted by a Houston Police Westside Divisional Gang Unit where Damari Veals, 18, was identified as one the suspects. An aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon warrant was filed on Damari Veals (18) on Thursday, August 28, 2025, through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Friday, August 29, 2025, officers from the Houston Police Westside nightshift Crime Suppression Team located Damari Veals, 18, in the parking lot at 2500 Synott Road. Veals was arrested and transported to the Harris County jail.

An additional follow up investigation was conducted by a Houston Police Robbery Detective and charges of aggravated kidnapping were also filed on Damari Veals, 18, through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. 

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the two remaining suspects responsible for the aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping.
