Robbery Investigation Leads to One Arrest and Warrant for Second Suspect

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance in locating Roman Darius Ram, 19, who is currently wanted for aggravated robbery (deadly weapon).

On Friday, April 4, 2025, a complainant was leaving a night club at 14 Berry, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that he was approached by several unknown males and physically assaulted. One of the suspects then pointed a handgun while the other was armed with as AR-15 style rifle as they demanded his personal property, including his car keys. The suspects got into the complainant’s 2014 Silver Nissan Rogue and fled the scene. The complainant then notified Houston Police and filed an offense report.  

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Houston Police Officers with the North Patrol Division Hot Spot Unit observed the stolen 2014 Silver Nissan Rogue at the 4800 block of Airline and conducted a felony traffic stop. The vehicle was occupied by a male, identified as Louis Torres, 19, who was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and booked into the Harris County Jail.

A follow up investigation was conducted by a Houston Police Robbery Detective and Louis Torres, 19, was identified by the victim as one of the robbery suspects. On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, an arrest warrant was filed on Louis Torres, 19, through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. 

On Friday, May 9, 2025, Houston Police Officers with the Eastside Crime Suppression Team observed a black Ford SUV at 8500 Howard Drive with an expired registration and conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, officers observed a female driving along with three males in the vehicle as passengers. One of the males was identified as Louis Torres, 19, who was then arrested for his aggravated robbery warrant.

During the traffic stop, Houston Police Officers located three loaded 9mm handguns, an assault rifle, and a variety of narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.  Additional charges of possession of a controlled substance (PCS) and unlawful carrying of a weapon (UCW) were then filed on Louis Torres. Two of the passengers in the vehicle were arrested for unlawful carrying of a weapon. All three suspects were then booked into the Harris County Jail. 

During the Houston Police Robbery Detective’s follow up investigation, one of the males arrested with Louis Torres, identified as Roman Darius Ram, 19, was positively identified by the robbery victim. On May 16, 2025, charges of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon were filed through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office on Roman D. Ram, 19. As of June 18, Roman Ram has not been located and still has an active warrant for his arrest.
