Dangerous Suspect Shoots Fleeing Clerk in Robbery

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Monday, May 14, 2018 the complainant arrived at his business, located at 8601 Martin Luther King, in Houston, Texas. As the complainant parked, he noticed a red Chevrolet Impala (no license plate displayed) parked outside his front door with a male sitting inside. When the complainant approached the front door to unlock it, the unknown black male suspect exited the driver seat of the red Impala and pointed a pistol at the complainant and demanded his bag. The complainant panicked and started running away. The suspect immediately started shooting at the complainant causing him to collapse to the ground. The suspect then stole the complainant's bag and went through his pockets before returning to the red Impala and driving away. The complainant was shot twice and transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. HPD case #607570-18

Suspect description: Black male, 18 to 25 years old, 160 to 170 pounds, slim build, med complexion, dark hoodie with draw string.
