Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police
Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the
suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
On Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 3:39 pm,
an unknown black or Hispanic male walked into Diana’s Hair Salon, located at
11232 Beechnut, in Houston, Texas. The male walked into the salon and walked
passed the employees and customers to the bathroom located in the back of the
building. A short time later, the male walked out of the bathroom and back to
the front of the salon, grabbed a chair and then propped the door open so it
could not lock. The suspect then pulled out a gun and demanded everyone lay
down on the floor. The suspect then robbed each victim individually by patting
them down stealing their money, jewelry and cellular phones. The suspect then
grabbed one of the employees by her hair and dragged her to the cash register
where he demanded money from the cash drawer. As the suspect was fleeing,
another customer walked in with an infant child at which time he made them take
a knee. The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle. HPD case #1057067-18
Suspect description:
Black or Hispanic male, approximately
6'00", 180 to 220 pounds, wearing a dark baseball cap, thick rimless
glasses, a white t-shirt, and blue jean shorts. Last known direction of travel
east Bound on Beechnut.
