Daytime Mall Jewelry Store Heist Captured on Camera


 Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for an aggravated robbery.

On Monday, August 20, 2018 at 1:58 pm, four unknown black males ran into the Plaza de America's Shopping Mall and into the J.D. Jewelry Inc. store, located at 114 Sharpstown Center, in Houston, Texas. The males immediately started to break the display cases with sledgehammers and removed the jewelry. As this was happening, an employee attempted to stop the suspects and was assaulted by being punched in the face and kicked while on the ground. As a result of being attacked during the robbery, the employee suffered a broken jaw and a fracture to his left eye bone. Once the suspects had the jewelry, they ran back to the mall parking lot to a red hatchback SUV, possibly a Nissan Juke. HPD case #1061062-18

Suspect description: Four suspects described only as being black males in the age range of 15 to 25 years old.
