Dramatic Robbery Captured on Camera as Victim Attempts to Flee

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 4:50 pm, the complainant stated that he and a friend arrived at a Walmart, located at Westheimer and Kirkwood, to collect a money order. The complainant stated that after getting the money order, they walked back to their vehicle and as they were leaving, a light green Chrysler 300 pulled up behind them and two males exited and walked towards their vehicle. At the same time, two Houston Police Officers rode up on bicycles while patrolling the area. The males then turned around and got back into the Chrysler 300.

The complainant then drove to an apartment complex, located at 12401 Overbrook, in order to drop off his friend. After the complainant dropped his friend off and was about to leave, an unknown black male opened his driver’s door and placed a gun to his head. At the same time, another male, also armed with a handgun, opened the passenger door and got into the vehicle. At this point, both males were demanding the complainant’s money and striking him in the head with the guns. In a panic, the complainant accelerated his vehicle through the parking lot, striking a parked vehicle. Another male, who was driving the light green Chrysler 300, assisted the other two suspects as they stole the complainant’s money. The suspects then fled the scene. HPD case #296700-18
