Shoplifting Turns into Robbery when Suspect Pushes Employee in Attempt to Flee

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery with bodily force.

On Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2:50 pm, an unknown female entered the Jades Beauty Supply, located at 1449 Wilcrest, in Houston, Texas. The female walked to the wig section within the store, selected a wig and concealed it her purse. The female then attempted to leave the store and concealed the wig between her legs when she saw that the employee was approaching her. The employee then asked the female to give her the wig, at which time the suspect walked out of the store without making any attempts to pay for it and then got into the backseat of an awaiting Kia four door sedan with paper plates. The employee stood behind the vehicle and started to record the license plate with her cell phone. The female suspect exited the vehicle and pushed the employee back and got back into the rear passenger seat. The employee remained standing behind the vehicle until the female suspect exited once again and this time left on foot. HPD case #504186-19
