Suspect Robs Three Houston Businesses along Gulf Fwy

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for three aggravated robberies with a deadly weapon.

On Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 6:00 am, an unknown male walked into the Chick Fil-A, located at 5940 Gulf Freeway, in Houston, Texas. The male stood in line and acted like a customer. When the male approached the counter, he leaned over the counter and whispered into to the employee’s ear and told her that he wanted the money from the cash register and the safe. The male then lifted his shirt, displaying a weapon in his waistband. A second employee then assisted the suspect and gave him the money from the cash register. The suspect then ran out of the business and went to the Burger King, located at 2411 South Wayside. HPD case #577399-19

On Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 6:10 am, an unknown male walked into the Burger King, located at 2411 South Wayside, in Houston, Texas. The male approached an employee that was in the lobby and picked up the front of his shirt, displaying a handgun in his waistband. The suspect then told the employee that he wanted the money from the cash register. The suspect then followed the employee to the cash registers and removed the money from the cash drawer. The suspect then fled the location and ran to the Jack in the Box, located at 5850 Gulf Freeway. HPD case #577412-19

On Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 6:34 am, an unknown male walked into the Jack in the Box, located at 5850 Gulf Freeway, in Houston, Texas. The male stood in line and acted like a customer. When the male approached the counter, he called the employee over and told her that he wanted the money from the cash register and the safe. The male then lifted his shirt, displaying a handgun. When the employee didn’t react to the suspects demands, he jumped over the counter and was greeted by a second employee, who overpowered the suspect and took his handgun from him. At this time, a second unknown male jumped the counter with a large knife and told the employee’s to let go of the male and he would assist in keeping him detained. The employee’s then backed away, at which time the suspect ran out of the business with the second male following. The suspects backpack and handgun were recovered at the scene by officers. Suspect description: Hispanic male, early 20’s, short.
