Victim Shot in Face Protecting Father in Robbery

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 4:13 pm, the complainants (father and son) were working at a construction site, located at 8349 Veterans Memorial, in Houston, Texas. The complainants were approached by an unknown male holding a handgun and demanded their money. The suspect began going through the fathers pockets and then struck him in the face with the gun for no apparent reason. The complainant’s son then pushed the suspect back in an attempted to protect his father and a struggle ensued. The suspect then shot the son twice, striking him once in the face.  The bullet struck him in the cheek, traveled through his throat and then lodged in his shoulder. Both victims were transported to the hospital with the son in critical condition and the father in stable condition with a swollen cheekbone from being struck in the face with the gun. Suspect description: Black male wearing all black, approximately 25 or 26 years old, 5'-07" or 5'-08" short curly hair, medium build 150 lbs. With a black handgun.
