Suspect Sneaks into Restaurant and Steals from Safe

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Monday, May 20, 2019, an armed Hispanic male suspect entered an unsecured rear door of the Chula’s Sport Cantina, located at 10516 Katy Freeway, in Houston, Texas while the morning crew was preparing the restaurant for opening. Once inside of the restaurant, the suspect forced a kitchen helper to lay face down on the kitchen floor while he forced the manager to give him the money from the safe.  The suspect stole a large amount of money from the safe and fled the location in a white vehicle. Suspect description: Hispanic male, 5’3, 30’s and heavy build.
