Victim Followed by Robbery Suspect After Leaving Store

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery by force.

On Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 6:00 am, the complainant walked into a Stripes, located at 6100 S. Loop E., in Houston, Texas. The complainant made a purchase and then walked out of the store with an unknown male walking out behind him. The complainant stated that he got into his car and drove off and a few minutes later, the same male that followed him out of the Stripes pulled up next to his vehicle and asked him for directions to the ship channel. The complainant stated that he pulled over to the side of the road at the 4200 block of Broad Street and exited his vehicle in order to give the male directions. The complainant stated that the unknown male then threatened him and demanded his wallet. The complainant stated that he did not have any money, at which time the suspect began physically assaulting him. A witness observed the fight and assisted the complainant, at which time the suspect got back into his vehicle, described as a 2002 to 2005 Toyota Corolla and fled the scene. Suspect description: Black male, 25 to 30 years old, 6’2 to 6’3, 300 to 315 pounds, large build, and medium complexion.
