Named Female Suspects on Run in Shoplifting Robbery

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance in locating Ariel Edward (27 years old) and Cortney Curtis (32 years old), who are both wanted for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon that occurred at a Walmart located at W. El Dorado Boulevard.

On Friday, February 10, 2020, Ariel Sherae Edward, Cortney Curtis and an unknown male entered the Walmart, located at W. El Dorado Boulevard, in Houston, Texas. All three then placed several items in a grocery cart and attempted to walk out of the store without paying for them. The unknown male pulled out a handgun and hit an employee in the head with it after being asked for a receipt. The three suspects exited the store and separated. The unknown male suspect pushed the shopping cart with the stolen items and got into a vehicle driven by a Lyft driver and told him to drive while holding a gun in his hand. The male instructed the driver to drive across the street to a Whataburger, where Ariel Edward and Cortney Curtis were both waiting. Once all three suspects were in the vehicle, they forced the Lyft driver to drive to a Motel 6. Once at the Motel 6, the suspects took the stolen items from Walmart out of the vehicle and allowed the driver to leave. Houston PD #177073-20
