Suspect Joshua Cotton Wanted in Array of Robberies

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department need the public's assistance in locating Joshua Cotton (20 years old), who is wanted for four aggravated robberies that occurred at cell phone stores and for unauthorized absence from a community correctional facility.

Joshua Cotton originally walked out of a supervised correctional facility on March 9, 2020 while completing a drug treatment program and failed to return. Cotton was originally charged with two aggravated robberies at a business on June 3, 2018 and received 10 years probation.

Cotton then went on to commit at least four additional robberies at the following cell phone stores:

3/26/2020 Inc. #409433-20 at the Boost Mobile located at 5517 Airline

3/28/2020 Inc. #417697-20 at the Boost Mobile located at 4122 Telephone

3/31/2020 Inc. #429250-20 at the Boost Mobile located at 4819 Irvington

9/17/2020 HCSO #20096411 at the Boost Mobile located at 802 Rankin

It is believed that Joshua Cotton has committed additional robberies. During all of the robberies, Joshua Cotton uses a handgun and demands the money from the cash registers and also steals the cell phones from the back office.

Joshua Cotton has eluded police since March 9 and his whereabouts are currently unknown. He is believed to be armed and is considered dangerous since in all of his robberies, he was in possession of a firearm. The booking photo from Cotton’s arrest was taken in 2018, so his appearance may have been altered some.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case. Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org
