Suspect Sneaks up on Victim as She Arrives Home

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery by force. 

On Tuesday, January 5, 2020 at 11:40 am, the complainant pulled into her garage at the 11000 block of Barrett Brae Drive, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that as she pulled into her garage, an unknown male suddenly appeared in her garage, opened the front passenger door, and grabbed her purse. The complainant stated that the strap of her purse was still around her neck and the suspect forcibly pulled it hard enough to cause the strap to break. The suspect then ran back to a four-door Chevrolet truck and fled the scene. Houston PD #19822-21 

The complainant stated that had been at a bank located at Willcrest and Bellaire and believes that the suspect may have followed her home.  

Suspect descriptions: slim black male about 20 to 25 year old and appeared to be around 6'0 to 6'01 tall. The suspect was wearing a black hooded and not covering face.
