Victim Looses Eye in Robbery Attack in West Houston

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for a robbery with serious bodily injury. 

On Thursday, December 9, 2021 at around 5:20 pm, the complainant walked into a grocery store, located at the 11200 block of Fondren, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that while he was standing in an aisle, an unknown male sucker punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness. The complainant stated that he then woke up to one of the employees helping him up and into a chair. The complainant then realized that his wallet and money were missing. The complainant suffered serious bodily injury to his right eye from the attack and subsequently loss his eye after doctors had to perform surgery. Houston PD #1648896-21 

Note: Just prior to the incident, the complainant stated that he had gotten off the Metro bus and walked to a bank ATM in the same shopping center, and withdrew money. The complainant stated that he then walked from the ATM, to the grocery store, and believes that someone might have followed him inside. 

Witnesses observed the suspects assault the complainant and were unable to stop the suspects as they fled the location. 

Suspect #1: Black male, 33 to 34 years old, 5’10, 230 pounds, wore a goatee, red hoodie and blue jeans.

Suspect #2: Black male, 33 to 34 years old, 6’0, low top fade haircut, white muscle shirt and white shorts.
