Armed Suspect Sought in Shoplifting Turned Robbery

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a shoplifting turned aggravated robbery.

On Sunday, January 30, 2022 at around 8:00 am, an unknown male walked into a general store, located at the 9000 block of Clearwood, in Houston, Texas. The male grabbed two cases of beer and a bottle of bleach and then began to walk towards the front doors to the store. A store employee recognized the male as a previous shoplifter who often carries a knife, so she backed away from the front doors and stood near the cash registers. The suspect then walked out of the store, holding a knife in his right hand, and without attempting to pay for the items. Houston PD #130808-22

Suspect description: Black male, 40 to 55 years old, 5’10 to 6’0, 145 to 155 pounds, brown shirt and dark pants.
