One Suspect Remains Unidentified in Robbery (Shooting)

 The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery.  

On Saturday, July 29, 2023 at around 12:30 am, the complainant was asleep at his residence at the 9900 block of Algiers, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that he was informed by a neighbor that someone was messing with his truck. The complainant stated that he immediately got up from bed, walked outside, and confronted an unknown male (later identified as Jaye Perkins) standing near his vehicle. At the same time, an unknown male came up from behind the complainant and pointed a gun at his head. The male standing at the complainant’s truck (Perkins) told the other suspect to shoot the complainant. The suspect then fired several shots at the complainant, striking him in the chest. The complainant then fell to the ground and both suspects fled the location. 

Houston Police officers responded to the scene and were able to locate one of the suspects, identified as Jaye Perkins (19), who was identified and charged with aggravated robbery. The second suspect was able to flee the scene and his identification remains unknown. Houston PD #1074822-23 

Suspect description (sketch): Black male, 5’8, average build and shirt hair.
