On Saturday, December 23, 2023, at around 6:40 am, the complainant entered a bakery at the 7200 block of Bissonnet, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that she noticed a male acting suspiciously standing just outside the bakery and informed an employee. The complainant stated that she decided to wait in the store until the male left. A short while later, the male walked into the bakery and demanded the complainant’s purse. The complainant refused to give the suspect her purse and retreated behind the counter, where the suspect followed her. The suspect then forcibly grabbed the complainant’s purse while striking her multiple times in the face.
As this was happening, two males walked into the store, saw what was happening, and threatened to harm the suspect if he didn’t stop hitting the complainant. The suspect then stopped, walked out of the store, and retrieved a bat from a black truck. The employee locked the front door, keeping the suspect from entering, so the suspect began hitting the glass door until it shattered. The suspect then got back into the truck and drove off. Houston PD #1818183-23
The complainant described the male as a Hispanic male, dark skinned, medium build, navy blue muscle shirt and black pants.
