Suspect Charged in Multiple North Houston Robberies

 

ARRESTED: July 2, 2024 – Ronald Albert, 35, has been arrested and charged with five counts of aggravated robbery and three counts of a felon in possession of a firearm after his involvement in a North Houston robbery crime spree dating from January 24, 2024 to June 24, 2024. At the time of this release, Albert is in the Harris County jail. Federal charges are likely being filed on a later date.  

In all of the robberies, Ronald Albert would enter the establishment while armed with a handgun and then demanded the money from the cash registers. Albert has been linked to the following robberies.

On July 1, 2024, a Houston Police Robbery Detective located the rental vehicle that was being used in the robberies at a hotel in Shenandoah, Texas. A short while later, Albert was observed leaving the hotel and then entered the rental vehicle. Houston Police officers with the North Belt Crime Suppression Team conducted a vehicle containment technique (VCT) while Albert was operating the vehicle and were able to take Albert into custody without incident.
