The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance in locating James Roberson, 47, who is currently wanted for robbery bodily injury.
On Monday, February 19, 2024, the complainant stated that she was a bus station, located at the 7000 block of Harrisburg, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that an unknown male approached her and introduced himself as “Jay Diamond.” While they were talking, the male grabbed the complainant’s purse and took of running.
The complainant stated that she ran after the suspect, was able to catch up to him, and grabbed onto his backpack to get her purse back. A brief struggle ensued, and the suspect dragged the complainant for a short distance until the suspect was able to get away and flee the location.
A Houston Police Robbery detective conducted a follow up investigation and established James Roberson, 47, as the suspect in the robbery. A robbery warrant was then filed on March 13, 2024 and as of August 28, the suspect has not been located and still has an active warrants for his arrest. Houston PD #246575-24
