Robbery Tip Tuesday
Protect yourself from becoming a victim of a jugging
Jugging refers to a type of crime that involves stealing money from people who have just withdrawn cash from a financial institution.
The suspect then follows the victim to a new location and robs them.
BE AWARE
When withdrawing money, be mindful of your surroundings and check if anyone is watching you.
Always pay attention to
the vehicles around you and if they are occupied.
BE DISCREET
After withdrawing cash, immediately put the money in your wallet or purse and conceal it.
BE UNPREDICTABLE
Change your routines by visiting your bank at different times of the day or use different branches to make it harder to predict your behavior.
ALWAYS TRUS YOUR INSTINCTS. If something doesn’t feel right, then it probably isn’t.
