The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the
public's assistance in locating Arlando Lyles, 17, wanted for aggravated
robbery with a deadly weapon and theft from person (robbery) and Christian Ray
Pickett, 18, wanted for one count of theft from person (robbery). Additional
charges are pending.
The males have been identified as at least two of the suspects involved in a series of cases involving suspects who are posing as sellers on Facebook Marketplace with fake profiles. Once the buyer (victim) arrives at the location provided by the seller (suspect), they are then robbed. In the first couple of cases, the suspects assaulted the victims and then took their money, but the suspect are now using firearms while robbing their victims.
Houston Police Robbery detectives believe that there could be additional suspects who may actively have fake profiles currently on marketplace with the intentions on robbing more victims.
According to Houston Police Robbery Detectives, since September 21, 2024, the suspects have been placing items for sale on Facebook Marketplace, such as PlayStation’s and shoes. Once the buyer contacts the seller (suspect), an address is provided by the suspect, which has included a variety of apartment complex parking lots in Southeast Houston. Once the buyer arrives at the location, the suspects then rob the victim by pointing a firearm at them and then taking their money.
The robberies have occurred at the following locations:
1. September 21, 2024 at 3:06 pm at an apartment complex at 2400 S. Loop W.

September 29, 2024 at 5:45 pm at an apartment complex at 2700 Woodland
Park Dr.

7, 2024 at 6:09 pm at an apartment complex at 5900 Selinsky.

21, 2024 at 3:22 pm at a park at 7900 Rockhill.
5. October
26, 2024 at 2:02 pm at an apartment complex parking lot at 3700 Faulkner.

2, 2024 at around 4:30 pm at an apartment complex at 10100 Cullen.

8, 2024 at around 5:30 pm at an apartment complex at 10000 Cullen.
