Shoplifting Suspect Displays Handgun While Fleeing Department Store

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a shoplifting turned aggravated robbery.

On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at around 7:00 pm, an unknown male entered a department store, located at the 11200 block of Fondren, in Houston, Texas. The male walked into the store, picked up several articles of clothing, and then walked towards the exit without paying for them. An employee witnessed the event and approached the suspect as he was about to leave without paying for the merchandise. The suspect reached into his backpack, displayed a handgun, and then threatened the employee. The employee backed away as the suspect fled the location. Houston PD #1052713-25

Suspect description: Black male, 30’s, around 5’5, thin build, black shirt, camo pants and black shoes.

Robbery Suspects Follow and Target Victim After Winning Poker Game

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for an aggravated robbery.

On Friday, August 1, 2025, at around 5:40 am, two unknown males entered a hotel lobby, located at the 5300 block of Westheimer, in Houston, Texas. The males walked to the elevators and approached the complainant, who had also just arrived at the hotel. The suspects forced the complainant to the ground with an unknown object, grabbed his personal property, and then fled the lobby to an awaiting white four-door sedan. The suspects entered the vehicle from the right passenger doors and sped away from the location. Houston PD #998887-25

Note: The complainant had just arrived at the hotel after winning a large sum of money during a poker game at a private social club at the 6100 block of Westheimer. The complainant was possibly targeted by the suspects and followed by the suspects.

Suspect on Bicycle Targeting Women Near Downtown Parks and Trails

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery.

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, at around 7:30 pm, the complainant was walking at a park, located at the 1900 block of Allen Parkway, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that while she was walking along a trail, she was approached from behind by an unknown male on a bicycle. The male forcibly grabbed her fanny pack, which was secured to her waist, causing her to fall to the ground as well as the suspect falling off his bike. The suspect then stood up, kicked the complainant in the stomach, and removed her fanny pack. The suspect got back on the bicycle and fled the location. Houston PD #997408-25   

Note: The complainant was pregnant at the time of the attack, which resulted in a miscarriage when she was kicked in the stomach by the suspect.

The suspect is also believed to be connected to at least four additional incidents:

June 17, 2025, at around 6:15 pm, female victim was walking in her neighborhood at the 2100 block of Crockett and was touched inappropriately by an unknown male riding on his bicycle.  Houston PD #1018971-25

July 10, 2025, at around 6:30 pm, female victim was walking at a park the 100 block of Sabine and was touched inappropriately by an unknown male riding through the park on his bicycle.  Houston PD #999982-25

July 28, 2025, at around 4:40 pm, female victim was walking at a park the 1000 block of Stude and was touched inappropriately by an unknown male riding through the park on his bicycle.  Houston PD #981150-25

July 28, 2025, at around 7:45 am, female victim was walking on a trail near the intersection of the trail and Frasier Street at the Heights Hike and Bike Trail and was touched inappropriately by an unknown male riding on his bicycle.  Houston PD #979635-25

Suspect description: White male, heavy set, mid 30’s, brown hair, wore a red helmet, black and white shoes and had a navy blue or a dark green bike.

On Monday, July 14, 2025, at around 4:00 pm, two females and a male entered a beauty supply store, located at the 15900 block of South Post Oak, in Houston, Texas. One of the females grabbed numerous items from within the store and began to walk out without paying for them. An employee witnessed the theft and attempted to intervene. Suspect Sought After Assault & Theft from Double Amputee on Wheelchair

On Sunday, July 27, 2025, at around 4:00 am, the complainant, who’s legs are amputated and is confined to a wheelchair, was in front of a convenience store, located at the 90 block of Tidwell, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that he was approached by an unknown male, who pushed him off his wheelchair, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect began to kick the complainant numerous times and removed his wallet and cell phone from his pants. The suspect then fled the location on foot. Houston PD #975353-25

Suspect Identity Sought in Robbery at South Houston Washeteria

On Monday, May 5, 2025, at around 2:30 pm, the complainant was inside a washeteria, located at the 8400 block of Gulf Freeway, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that while she was washing her clothing, an unknown male was sitting near a table where her cell phone was charging. The complainant stated that the male grabbed her phone and then walked out of the washeteria. The complainant followed the male outside and told him that she wanted her cell phone back. Robbery Suspect Sought After Pulling Knife on Security Guard in Shoplifting

The complainant stated that while she was sitting in the driver’s seat, an unknown male suddenly opened his driver’s door while pointing a handgun at her and demanding her property. The suspect reached into the complainant’s vehicle and as he was about to grab her purse, a witness yelled at the suspect. The suspect became startled and fled the location on foot. Suspects Rob Fast-Food Restaurant After Posing as Manager/Owners

The male and female acted like customers and placed an order. When the employee informed the male and female of the amount of money due, the male told the employee that he was a manager, and their food was free. The employee stated that they still needed to pay for the food, so the female displayed a knife, threatening the employee. Suspects Identity Still Sought in Shoe Store Shoplifting Turned Robbery


The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division are still in need of the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for a shoplifting turned robbery.

On Thursday, January 9, 2025, at around 1:20 pm, two males entered a shoe store, located at the 6100 block of Scott Street, in Houston, Texas.  The males selected numerous clothing merchandise along with shoes and then walked towards the exit without paying for the items. Store employees witnessed the incident and confronted the suspects at the exit. One of the males then threated to harm one of the store employees and then pushed him out of the way. Female Suspects Identities Sought in Houston Smoke Shop Robberies

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for an aggravated robbery.

On Friday, June 27, 2025, at around 10:30 pm, four unknown females entered a smoke shop, located at the 12100 block of Northwest Freeway, in Houston, Texas. One of the females remained at the door while the other females approached the store employee. Two of the suspects then displayed handguns while demanding the money from the cash register. Once the suspects had the money from the cash drawer and various merchandise from within the store, they fled the location in an unknown vehicle. Houston PD #837941-25

An employee observed the male shoplifting and confronted him about the merchandise as he was leaving without paying for it. ARRESTED: Joseph Ramos, 24, Arrested & Charged with Robbery Bodily Injury

ARRESTED: Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested for robbery with bodily injury that occurred on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at around 10:35 pm at a convenience store gas pumps at the 3100 block of Southwest Freeway, in Houston, Texas.

The suspect, Joseph Ramos, 24, is charged with robbery with bodily injury in the 497th State District Court. Joseph Ramos’ booking photo is attached to this release.

According to the complainant, she was outside of a convenience store getting fuel for her vehicle and observed a small black sedan stop near her. An unknown male exited the vehicle, opened the complainant’s car door, and removed her wallet. As the suspect was getting back into his vehicle, the complainant approached him and attempted to get her wallet back by reaching into the suspect vehicle. The suspect began to drive away, causing the complainant to fall to the ground, resulting in bruising on her arm and leg. The suspect then sped out of the parking lot.

A follow up investigation was conducted by a Houston Police Robbery Detective where Joseph Ramos, 24, was identified as the suspect. A robbery with bodily injury warrant was filed on July 17, 2025, through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Saturday, July 18, 2025, Houston Police officers from the Midwest Crime Suppression Team located Joseph Ramos, 24, at a mall located at 7500 Bellaire Blvd. Ramos was arrested and transported to the Harris County jail. Houston PD #746397-25

Suspect Identities Sought in Southwest Houston Pawn Shop Robbery

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for a robbery by force.

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, at around 2:15 pm, two unknown males entered a pawn shop, located at the 13800 block of S. Post Oak, in Houston, Texas. One of the males walked up to the counter and inquired about an expensive gold chain while the second male stood near the front doors. When the employee handed the male the chain, he immediately took off running towards the exit. An employee witnessed the event and attempted to stop the suspect from leaving. The suspect then pushed the employee out of the way and ran outside with the second suspect. Both suspects got into a dark colored Nissan Altima and sped away from the location. Houston PD#830702-25

Suspect #2: Black male, larger build, white shirt, blue jean shorts.

Armed Suspect Wanted in Aggravated Robbery/Kidnapping in South Houston

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping.

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at around 10:00 PM, the complainant stated that she was visiting Houston from out of state, became turned around with her directions, and stopped at a stop sight at the 4200 block of Botany Lane, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that she was suddenly approached by an unknown male, who opened her passenger door while pointing a handgun at her. The suspect entered the complainant’s vehicle while continuing to point the gun at her and told her to drive. The complainant stated that she cooperated with the suspect and informed him that she needed to get gas since she was almost on empty. The suspect allowed the complainant to pull into a gas station at the 2600 block of Reed Road.

The complainant stated that the suspect then followed her into the convenience store while concealing his handgun. The complainant walked up to the counter and quietly informed the store clerk that the suspect had a gun and that she needed help. The suspect became suspicious that the complainant was seeking help and told her to come back to the vehicle. When the complainant refused to cooperate, the suspect ran back to her vehicle and drove away. Houston PD #822878-25

The complainant’s 2014 white Kia four-door sedan was recovered, unoccupied, the next day on Highway 6 in Brazos, County, Texas.

Suspect description: Black male, late 20’s, 5’7 to 5’8, 150 to 175 pounds, short hair, dark complexion, black shirt, khaki pants and white shoes.

Suspect Identity Sought in Shoplifting Turned Robbery at Drug Store

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a shoplifting turned robbery by threat.

On Friday, June 27, 2025, at around 7:30 pm, an unknown male entered a drug store, located at the 7100 block of Beechnut, in Houston, Texas. The male walked around and grabbed a variety of merchandise from within the store. An employee recognized the male as a frequent shoplifter and confronted him about the merchandise as he was leaving without paying for it. The suspect then threatened to harm the employee and fled the location on foot. Houston PD #837184-25

Suspect Sought in Daytime Robbery at Downtown Houston Restaurant

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery by force.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at around 4:15 pm, an unknown male entered a restaurant, located at the 2800 block of Caroline, in Houston, Texas. The male first acted like a customer, but then walked over to the cash register and attempted to open the cash drawer. The suspect then picked up an item from within the restaurant and was approached by an employee. The suspect pushed the employee out of the way and fled the location in an unknown direction. Suspect Sought in Robbery by Force at Houston Fast-Food Restaurant

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at around 10:45 am, an unknown male entered a fast-food restaurant, located at the 2100 block of W. Holcombe, in Houston, Texas. The male walked up to the counter and asked for a cup for a drink. When the employee charged the male for the drink, he became upset about paying for it and walked behind the counter to grab a cup. When the employee attempted to stop the male, he assaulted her by hitting her in the face. The male then fled the location in an unknown direction. Houston PD #820023-25

Suspects Sought in Early Morning Carjacking at Apartment Complex

 

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division are still in need the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for an aggravated robbery.

On Sunday, March 30, 2025, at around 4:30 am, the complainants were walking to their white Dodge Charger at a apartment complex parking garage, located at the 3700 block of Elgin, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that three males exited a white Honda Civic (with stolen rear license plates), pointed a handgun at them, and demanded their property, including his car keys. The complainants complied and gave the suspect the car keys. One of the suspects then got into the complainants Dodge Charge as the other two suspects got into the white Honda Civic and fled the scene. Houston PD #405786-25

The complainant’s Dodge Charger was located later that day, abandoned, at an apartment complex at 7909 S. Sam Houston Parkway East.

Female Victim Confined to Wheelchair Robbed at Gunpoint at ATM

On Thursday, July 10, 2025, at around 12:30 am, the complainant, who is confined to a wheelchair, rode up to an ATM, located at the 5200 block of Antoine, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that while she was withdrawing money, an unknown male suddenly appeared while pointing a gun at her and demanding the money from the ATM. The suspect then reached over and grabbed the money that had been withdrawn from the ATM. The suspect got on a bicycle and rode away in an unknown direction. Houston PD #893960-25

Suspect descriptions: Black male, medium build, 20 to 30 years old, green T-shirt and camouflage patterned pants, and wore a wide-brimmed trucker style hat. Possibly lives in the area.

Armed Suspect Sought in Parking Lot Robbery After Victim Withdraws Money

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, at around 8:35 pm, the complainant withdrew money from an ATM at the 2600 block of Fulton, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that after withdrawing the money, he was approached by an unknown male, who displayed a handgun, and began going through his pockets, while taking his personal property and his money. The suspect then assaulted the complainant by punching him in the face and fled the location with an unknown female. Houston PD #710328-25

Suspect Identified as Charged in North Houston Convenience Store Robbery

ARRESTED: Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested for robbery by threat that occurred on Friday, June 6, 2025, at around 4:05 pm at a convenience store at the 4700 block of TC Jester, in Houston, Texas.

The suspect, Keneth Wayne Barfield, 33, is charged with robbery by threat in the 487th State District Court. Keneth Barfield’s booking photo is attached to this release.

According to the complainant, who was working as a clerk at a convenience store, an unknown male entered the store and walked behind the counter. The complainant stated that the suspect threatened him while demanding the money from the cash register. In fear that the suspect would harm him, the complainant opened the cash drawer. The suspect removed the money and fled the location in an unknown direction.  The complainant notified the Houston Police Department and filed an offense report.

A follow up investigation was conducted by a Houston Police Robbery Detective where Keneth Wayne Barfield, 33, was identified as the suspect. A robbery by threat warrant was filed on July 9, 2025, through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, Houston Police officers from the North Patrol Hotspot Unit located Keneth Wayne Barfield, 33, at a residence at the 5500 block of Carino Drive. Barfield was arrested and transported to the Harris County jail. Houston PD #738702-25

Shoplifting Suspect Threatens Employee While Fleeing Drug Store

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a shoplifting turned robbery by threat.

On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at around 11:20 am, an unknown male entered a drug store, located at the 900 block of Studemont, in Houston, Texas. The male grabbed a case of beer and walked out of the store without making any attempts to pay. The male then walked back into the store and threatened to harm the employee if she followed him. The male walked to the back office, displayed a handgun (with an extended clip), and demanded the employee’s personal property and the money from the safe and cash registers.  Once the suspect had the money, he fled the location in an unknown direction. Shoplifting Suspect Pulls Knife on Employees Prior to Fleeing on Bike

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, at around 10:00 am, an unknown male entered a grocery store, located at the 8300 block of W. FM 1960, in Houston, Texas. The male walked through the store while concealing items in his pockets. The male then walked towards the exit without paying for the items and was approached by an employee. Shoplifting Suspect Pulls Gun on Employee While Attempting to Flee

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at around 3:00 pm, an unknown male entered a grocery store, located at the 11300 block of Homestead, in Houston, Texas. The male walked into the store, picked up some items, and then walked out without paying for them. An employee witnessed the event and followed the suspect outside of the store to take a picture of the male. The suspect noticed that the employee was following him and displayed a handgun while threatening to shoot her. The employee backed away from the suspect, who then fled the location on foot. ARRESTED: Tristan T. Griffin, 28, arrested for Robbery and Injury to the Elderly

UPDATE: Tristan T. Griffin, 28, has been located and arrested in Georgia and is currently in custody.

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance in locating Tristan T. Griffin, 28, who is currently wanted for robbery bodily injury and injury to elderly.

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, at around 3:00 am, the complainant was dropping off his daughter at the Hobby Airport terminal, located at 7800 Airport Boulevard, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that after getting his daughters luggage and while getting back into his vehicle, he was approached by an unknown male, who suddenly punched him in the face while attempting to get into the driver’s seat of his vehicle. As the complainant was trying to keep the suspect from getting into his vehicle, an elderly male witnessed the event and approached the suspect. The suspect then punched the elderly male in the face, causing him to fall to the ground while hitting his head on the concrete. The suspect then got into the complainant’s 2023 white Hyundai Palisade and fled the location. The complainants vehicle was located three days later, abandoned, in Jennings, Louisiana. A Houston Police Robbery detective conducted a follow up investigation and was able to establish Tristan T. Griffin, 28, as the possible suspect in the robbery (carjacking). Tristan T. Griffin, 28, was then identified by the victims and a robbery with bodily injury and injury to an elderly warrant was filed on June 4, 2025. As of July 9, the suspect has not been located and still has active warrants for his arrest.

Suspects Steal Victims Property While Attempting to Sell Phone

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for a theft from person robbery.

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, at around 8:30 pm, the complainant had arranged to meet with two unknown males after placing an ad to sell his cell phone on an online selling app. The complainant stated that they agreed to meet at a high school parking lot at the 8000 block of Fulton, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that upon his arrival, he located the two males, and handed the potential buyer his cell phone to inspect. While discussing payment details, one of the males forcibly grabbed the complainant’s cash from his hand and then took off running along with the second suspects.
