Suspect Sought in Daytime Robbery at Downtown Houston Restaurant

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery by force.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at around 4:15 pm, an unknown male entered a restaurant, located at the 2800 block of Caroline, in Houston, Texas. The male first acted like a customer, but then walked over to the cash register and attempted to open the cash drawer. The suspect then picked up an item from within the restaurant and was approached by an employee. The suspect pushed the employee out of the way and fled the location in an unknown direction. Suspect description: Black male, dark shirt, dark pants, red cap and black backpack.
