The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division are still in need of the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery bodily injury and assault by impeding breath.
On Sunday, May 12, 2024 at around 12:15 am, the complainant met with a male that she met online, known to her as Ricco (but also went by Antonio) at 7900 Martin Luther King Boulevard, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that they were hanging out in his older model brown GMC Envoy when he began to make sexual advances towards her. The complainant became upset with the male and told him to take her home. The male began to drive his vehicle and as they entered the freeway, he grabbed her throat with his right hand and attempted to choke her. When the complainant attempted to call 911, the suspect slapped the phone out of her hand.
The suspect eventually drove to the 5300 block of Doolittle Boulevard and stopped the vehicle, The suspect then physically assaulted the complainant and took her personal property. The complainant was able to free herself from the suspect, exited the vehicle, and fled the location on foot. Houston PD # 690599-24
Suspect description: Hispanic male, 5’4 to 5’5, black hair and brown eyes.
