The suspect, Jordan Driver, 18, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and evading arrest in the 232nd State District Court. Jordan Drivers’ booking photo is attached to this release.
According to the complainant, he had arranged to meet with an unknown male after placing an ad selling a pair of shoes on an online selling app. The complainant stated that he agreed to meet the potential buyer at an apartment complex parking lot. The complainant stated that upon arrival, he was approached by the male and placed the shoes on the hood of his vehicle. The male then acted as though he was about to pay the complainant for the shoes, but then attempted to grab them from the hood of the vehicle. When the complainant attempted to intervene, the male pulled out a handgun and threatened to harm the complainant. The complainant was able to retreat, got back into his vehicle, and then drove to the nearest Houston Police station and filed an offense report.
A Houston Police Robbery Detective conducted a lengthy follow up investigation and was able to establish Jordan Driver, 18, as a possible suspect. Driver was then identified by the victim and charges of aggravated robbery were filed on May 15, 2025.
Houston Police officers with the North Patrol Crime Suppression Team served the felony warrant on Drivers’ residence on May 21. While the warrant was being served, Jordan Driver attempted to flee the scene of foot and was subsequently captured by officers. Additional charges of evading arrest were filed through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and Driver was booked into the Harris County Jail.
