ARRESTED: Charges have been filed
against two suspects arrested for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon that
occurred on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at around 12:00 pm at an apartment complex
at the 100 block of East Edgebrook, in Houston, Texas.
The suspects, Curtrell D. Godfrey, 21, and Dzavion J. Thompson, 21, are charged with aggravated robbery in the 180th State District Court. Curtrell Godfrey and Dzavion J. Thompson’s booking photos are attached to this release.
According to the complainant, he was walking to a relative’s apartment when he was approached by three unknown males. One of the males displayed a handgun while the other two males assaulted him by punching him with a closed fist and taking his personal property. The suspects then fled the scene. The complainant notified the Houston Police Department and filed an offense report.
An extensive follow up investigation was conducted by Houston Police Officers from the Clear Lake Division Crime Suppression Team, who developed Curtrell D. Godfrey, 21, and Dzavion J. Thompson, 21, as two of the suspects in the robbery. Aggravated robbery (deadly weapon) warrants were filed through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and warrants were issued for their arrest. Additionally, Dzavion J. Thompson, 21, was also charged with hindering apprehension of a known felon during the investigation.
On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Houston Police Officers from the Clear Lake Division Crime Suppression Team located Dzavion J. Thompson, 21, in a grocery store parking lot at 6200 Bellaire and placed him into custody for his aggravated robbery warrant. Thompson was transported and booked into the Harris County jail.
On Monday, September 15, 2025, Houston Police Officers from the Clear Lake Division Crime Suppression Team initiated a traffic stop on a maroon Nissan and placed Curtrell D. Godfrey, 21, into custody for the aggravated robbery warrant. Godfrey was then transported and booked into the Harris County jail. Houston PD #778257-25
