Suspect Attempts to Steal Cell Phone from Seller on Online Selling App

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery by force.

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, at around 3:45 pm, the complainant had arranged to meet with an unknown male named ‘Kynd Mulaa’ after placing an ad selling an iPhone on an online selling app. The complainant stated that they met in front of a residence at the 500 block of Kress, in Houston, Texas. The buyer agreed to purchase the phone and gave the complainant three fake one-hundred-dollar bills. When the seller realized that the money was fake, he attempted to take the phone back. A struggle ensued between the buyer and the suspect. The suspect then ran back to his vehicle, a gray Honda Odyssey, and fled the scene. Houston PD #1169845-25

Suspect information: Black male, thin build, black pants, black jacket and white shirt.
