Suspect Sought in Shoplifting Turned Robbery at Houston General Store

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a shoplifting turned robbery by force.

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at around 6:30 pm, an unknown male entered a general store while carrying a backpack, located at the 1100 block of Cavalcade, in Houston, Texas. The male was immediately informed that he would have to leave his backpack at the register until he left the store. The male then walked through the store, grabbed a variety of items, and walked out of the store without attempting to pay for the merchandise, but realized he had left his backpack inside the store. An employee witnessed the incident and grabbed the suspect’s backpack, keeping him from getting it. The suspect then assaulted the employee and fled the location in an unknown direction. Suspect descriptions: Hispanic male, white shirt, red shorts, and black shoes.
