The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery. Houston Police Department Incident #86729-26. On Monday, January 19, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the complainant was working at a business located in the 5400 block of South Rice Avenue in Houston, Texas. The complainant observed the suspect concealing merchandise inside a purse while inside the store. The suspect then passed all points of sale without attempting to pay for the items. When the complainant attempted to stop the suspect, the suspect shoved the complainant, causing pain, before fleeing the location in an unknown direction. Suspect description: #1 B/F black shirt, brown jacket, brown pants, brown slides, and a brown purse.
