Elderly Female Targeted at Washateria in Car-Jacking

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at around 11:00 am, an elderly female (79 years old) complainant was at a washateria, located at 8098 Martin Luther King, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that while she was inside washing clothes, an unknown male approached her and asked to use her phone. The complainant refused to allow the male to use her phone and continued with her business. When the complainant walked out of the washateria to put her clothes in her vehicle, the unknown male followed her outside. After the complainant placed her clothes in the backseat, she opened the driver’s side door, at which time the male ran towards her demanding her car keys. The complainant then threw her keys away, got into her vehicle, and locked the doors. The male grabbed the keys, unlocked the door and threatened to assault the complainant if she did not get out of the vehicle. The complainant then complied with the suspect, who then got into the victims vehicle and drove away The victims vehicle was located at 7800 Bellfort on September 10th. Houston PD #1116527-19

Suspect description: Black male, 20 to 28 years old, black hoodie.
