Victim Assaulted and Robbed for Not Sharing His Phone

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division still need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery by force.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at around 4:25 pm, the complainant was walking to the Diamond Food Mart, located at 5738 Telephone, in Houston, Texas. While the complainant was walking through the parking lot at the gas pumps, an unknown male called him over to his vehicle and asked him if he could borrow his phone. When the complainant refused, the suspect attempted to physically take the phone away from the complainant. A brief struggle occurred and the complainant was able to get away from the suspect and walk into the store. The suspect then followed the complainant into the store and immediately punched him in the face, causing him to fall on the ground. The suspect then picked up the complainants phone and then left the location in a white older model Honda SUV. Houston PD #334075-20

Suspect description: Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old, 5’10 to 6’0, 200 to 220 pounds, black hair, light complexion, white shirt and navy shorts.
