Suspect Targets Female Leaving Check Cashing Business

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Friday, July 16, 2021 at around 5:00 pm, the complainant parked in a commercial parking lot, located at the 6000 block of South Gessner, in Houston, Texas. The complainant exited her vehicle and then walked into a check cashing business. Once the complainant was finished at the check cashing business, she walked back to her vehicle, at which time she was approached by an unknown male, who pointed a handgun at her and demanded her property. The complainant complied with the suspect and handed him her purse. The suspect then walked to the passenger seat of a silver four-door Chevrolet pickup and fled the scene. Houston PD #958338-21

Suspect description: Hispanic male, 40 to 50 years of age, beard, black shirt and shorts.
