Armed Jewelry Store Owner Stops Robbery Suspects

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:17 am, the complainant was working inside his jewelry store, located at the 2900 block of Main, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that he observed a light colored Chevrolet pickup drive up on the side of his business and noticed two males exit the vehicle while wearing masks and at least one of them was armed with a handgun. The storeowner retrieved his handgun and as the males entered the store, he exchanged gunfire with the suspect armed with the gun. The suspects then retreated and ran out of the store. One of the suspects got back into the truck while the second suspect ran across the street and got into a blue Dodge Charger. The complainant noticed that the truck had stopped in front of his store after the incident and as he opened the front door, in fear that the suspects was going to shoot at him again, he fired another round towards the truck. The suspects then quickly fled the scene. It is unknown if the suspect was hit by the complainants gunfire. Houston PD #1123684-21
