Suspects Wanted in Armed Robbery of Rideshare Driver

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division are still in need of the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for an aggravated robbery. 

On Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at around 11:00 am, the complainant, employed with a rideshare company, received a request to pick up from a male, named “MJ,” at a restaurant at the 7600 block of Westheimer, in Houston, Texas.

Upon arrival, the males changed the dropped off location to an apartment complex at 2929 Dunvale. The complainant stated that as they arrived at the apartment complex, one of males pulled out a handgun while demanding that the complainant get out of the vehicle. One of the males exited the rear passenger door, opened the driver’s side door, and attempted to take the complainants cell phone. During the struggle, the complainant was able to cause the suspect that trying to get his cell phone to fall onto the ground, just outside of the open driver’s side door. 

As the suspect fell to the ground, the complainant accelerated his vehicle while the second suspect pointed the gun at his head and told him to stop the vehicle. The complainant refused to stop, so the suspect jumped out of the moving vehicle. The complainant then drove to a different location and called police. Houston PD #1414303-22 

Suspect description: Black male, around 20 years old, 5'8 to 5'9, 140 pounds, dark complexion, black hair, skinny body set and wearing a hoodie.

Suspect #2: Black male, around 20 years old, 5'8 to 5'9, 140 pounds, dark complexion, black hair, skinny body set and wearing a hoodie.
