The Houston Police Department’s Robbery
Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for
series of aggravated robberies. On Monday, May 8, 2023 at around 12:45 am, the complainant was sitting in the passenger seat in his white 2014 Chevrolet Cruz four-door sedan at a convenience store parking lot, located at the 600 block of East Witcher, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that two unknown males entered his vehicle while armed with a handgun. One of the males struck the complainant with the handgun in the face and threatened to kill him if he didn’t cooperate and then took his wallet and cell phone. The suspects forced the complainant into his backseat of his vehicle as they remained in the front seats and drove out of the parking lot. The complainant was able to open the back door and jump out of his vehicle as it was being driven by the suspects. The complainant then flagged down a bystander and called the police. One of the suspects was captured on surveillance cameras inside a convenience store just prior to the robbery. Houston PD #648282-23
Note: As of May 19, the complainant’s
vehicle, a white 2014 Chevrolet Cruz four-door sedan (last four vin 9718), has
not yet been recovered and is still listed as stolen.
The second robbery occurred at around 10:50
pm (May 7) at a check cashing business parking lot at the 6500 block of Airline.
The complainants in that case were approached by two Hispanic males,
Who pointed a handgun at them and demanded their wallets and cell phones. The suspects then fled the location on foot. Houston PD #647924-23
Suspect description: Hispanic male, 20 to 24 years old, short hair, goatee, and thin build, spoke English and Spanish. Suspect #2: Hispanic male, 20 to 24 years old, spoke English and Spanish.
