Frequent Shoplifter Turned Robbery Suspect Sought

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a shoplifting turned robbery by force. 

On Saturday, October 28, 2023 at around 12:00 pm, an unknown female entered a convenience store, located at the 6500 block of Homestead, in Houston, Texas. The female walked into the store, placed numerous items from within the store into a hand basket, and then walked out without attempting to pay for them. The store clerk recognized the female as a frequent shoplifter and waited for her outside. As the suspect walked out of the store with the stolen items, the clerk grabbed the hand basket and attempted to take it away from her.  The suspect then assaulted the clerk by punching him numerous times in the face, then grabbed several items within the basket, and fled the location. Suspect description: Black female, white sweater and dark pants.
