Suspect Arrested in Convenience Store Armed Robbery

 

ARRESTED: Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested for an aggravated robbery that occurred on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at around 8:30 pm of a convenience store at the 5100 block of N. Shepherd, in Houston, Texas. 

The suspect, Eric Benjamin Munoz-Lizaola, 25, is charged with aggravated robbery in the 232nd State District Court. Eric Benjamin Munoz-Lizaola’s booking photo is attached to this release. 

According to the complainant, he was working as a cashier at a convenience store when the suspect walked in with a gun, pointed it at him, and demanded the money from the cash register. Once the suspect had the money from the clerk, he got into a red Ford F-150 and fled the scene. The complainant then called the police and reported the robbery.  

Houston Police officers with the North Patrol Division were dispatched to the robbery and provided with a description of the suspect along with the vehicle used in the robbery. A short time later, officers located a red truck matching the same description at the 8600 block of Sweetwater. Officers detained the male, identified as Eric Benjamin Munoz-Lizaola, and located the gun and money while searching the vehicle.  

Eric Benjamin Munoz-Lizaola was then charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
