Suspect Assaults Employee While Fleeing from Shoplifting


The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a shoplifting turned robbery by force. 

On Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at around 2:15 pm, an unknown male entered a shoe store, located at the 5300 block of W. 34th, in Houston, Texas. An employee recognized the male as a frequent shoplifter and stood near the entrance of the store. The male grabbed two pairs of Jordan shoes and walked towards the exit without making any attempts to pay for them. As the suspect walked out of the store, he was confronted by an employee. The suspect then physically assaulted the employee and fled the location. Houston PD #1060275-24. 

Suspect description: Hispanic male, black shirt and black pants.
