Suspect Flees in Metro Bus After Committing Robbery


 The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division are still in need of the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery bodily injury (purse snatching).

On Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1:30 pm, the complainant was about to get into her vehicle after leaving a bank at the 1000 block of Federal, in Houston, Texas. An unknown male approached her from behind and forcibly grabbed her purse. The complainant then fell to the ground and was dragged a short distance until the suspect was able to gain control of her purse. The suspect fled the scene and was witnessed getting into Metro bus. Surveillance cameras captured the suspect inside the Metro bus shortly after the robbery occurred. 

Suspect description: Black male wearing a black muscle shirt and black pants.
