Wanted Suspect Sought in Shoe Store Shoplifting Turned Robbery

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance in locating Cynthia Denise Scott, 62, who is currently wanted for robbery by threat.

On Saturday, August 31, 2024, an unknown female entered a shoe store, located at the 5300 block of W. 34th, in Houston, Texas.  According to the complainant, a store employee, he observed the female walk into the store and conceal numerous clothing items into her bag. Upon being confronted by the employee, the female threatened to shoot him and then walked over to the cash register and stole the money from the cash drawer. The suspect then fled the location in white Kia SUV. Houston PD #1239016-24

A Houston Police Robbery Detective conducted a follow up investigation and established Cynthia Denise Scott, 62, as the suspect in the robbery. Cynthia Scott was then identified by the victim and a robbery warrant was filed on December 12, 2024. As of December 18, the suspect has not been located and still has an active warrant for her arrest.
