Shoplifting Suspect Assaults Department Store Employee While Fleeing

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a shoplifting turned robbery with serious bodily injury.

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, at around 3:15 pm, an unknown male entered a department store, located at the 500 block of Baybrook, in Houston, Texas. The male walked through the store, grabbed a variety of items, and then walked out of the store without attempting to pay for the merchandise. An employee witnessed the theft and confronted the suspect outside the store. The suspect then assaulted the employee, causing serious bodily injury, and then fled the location. Suspect descriptions: White or Hispanic male, 25 to 35 years old, 5’5 to 5’8, mustache, black shirt, black shorts, and white shoes.
