The Houston
Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public's assistance in locating Joseph
Aguilar, 20 and Alejandra Banegas, 20, who are currently wanted for aggravated robbery
with a deadly weapon.
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at
around 9:30 PM, the complainant stated that he met a female on a dating app and
agreed to pick her up at a hotel so they could get something to eat. The
complainant stated that once they had the food, they decided to drive back to
the hotel so they could eat it in the room. While driving towards the hotel,
the female asked the complainant to drive down a street at the 3700 block of
Turner. The complainant stated that when he stopped the vehicle, he briefly
stepped out and was approached by an unknown male with a small assault rifle,
who demanded his property. A struggle ensued between the complainant and the
suspect, who then fired several rounds, narrowly missing the complainant. The
complainant then ran back to his vehicle and drove away as the female fled the
location with the suspect. As the complainant was driving away, the suspect fired
several rounds towards his vehicle, striking it on the doors and taillights. The
complainant notified the Houston Police Department and met with officers to

A Houston Police Robbery Detective
conducted a follow up investigation and was able to establish Joseph Aguilar, 20
and Alejandra Banegas, 20, as the possible suspects. Joseph Aguilar, 20 and Alejandra
Banegas, 20, were then identified and aggravated
robbery (deadly weapon) warrants were filed on November 19, 2025, through the
Harris County District Attorney’s Office. As of December 3, the suspects have
not been located and still has active warrants for their arrest.
