ARRESTED: Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested for Robbery, stemming from an incident that occurred on Friday, March 20, 2026, at around 4:00 P.M., at business restaurant at the 5000 block of S. Lake Houston Pkwy, in Houston, Texas.
The suspect, Devion Williams, 18, is charged with Robbery in the 487 State District Court. Devion Williams, 18 booking photo is attached to this release.
According to the complainant, who is an employee at the business restaurant, one male entered the store and while inside, told the complainant to open the register. The complainant complied in fear of suspect possibly armed with a weapon. Complainant grabbed the money from the register and gave it to the suspect. The suspect then fled the location on foot. The suspect is linked to several HPD robberies and in the county.
A Houston Police Robbery Detective conducted a follow up investigation and established Devion Williams, 18, as a possible suspect. Devion Williams, 18 was then identified charges of Robbery were filed on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, and a warrant was issued for his arrest for a robbery committed on March 20, 2026.
On Sunday, April 12, 2026, Harris County Sheriff Office Task Force Officer with FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, with Detectives with the Houston Police Department were conducting a follow up investigation. While conducting surveillance on the suspect’s vehicle, suspect was taken into custody on harris county warrant.
Devion Williams, 18, was then transported to the Harris County jail and booked on the Robbery warrant.
