Suspects Unsuccessful in Robbery at Check Cashing Business


Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Thursday, December 20, 2018, two unknown armed males entered the J&S Check Cashing, located at 6812 Telephone Road, in Houston, Texas. One of the males immediately jumped the counter and attempted to gain access to the employees behind the bulletproof glass by ripping down the ceiling panels. Once the suspect was unsuccessful in going through the ceiling, they then attempted to pry open the doors, but were also unsuccessful in gaining access. The suspects then gave up and ran back to the Ram truck with a camper and fled the scene. HPD case #1599094-18

Suspect description: Unknown race male, black jacket, face covered, blue jeans, black shoes, back pack and pry bar.
Suspect #2: Unknown race male, thin build, black jacket, face covered, blue jeans, dark shoes and handgun.
