Store Clerk Stops Suspect in Attempted Machine Theft

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 7:00 pm, two unknown males entered the Aldine Food Store, located at 195 Aldine Bender, in Houston, Texas. One of the males remained at the door while the second male walked up to the gaming machines. The male then pulled out a long metal prying bar and started to pry open the machine in order to access the money drawer. While this was happening, the employee saw what was happening and confronted the suspect. The employee then grabbed the suspect and forced him out of the store. The suspects then fled the location in a gray or silver four-door car. Houston PD #613748-20

These males are believed to be the same suspects who attempted a similar robbery on March 27th at the Shell gas station located at 414423-20 (video: https://youtu.be/-ecbglQbzgU)

Suspect description: Suspect #1: Black male, 25 to 35 years of age, around 5’9 to 5’11, black shirt and blue jeans. Suspect #2: Black male, 25 to 35 years of age, around 5’9 to 5’11, black shirt and blue jeans.

Vehicle description: Gray or silver four-door car.
