Dramatic Ending to a Gas Station Shoplifting in N.Houston

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for robbery.

On Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 5:50 pm, an unknown male walked into the Star Stop convenience store, located at 3003 Ella, in Houston, Texas. The male grabbed an 18 pack of beer from the cooler and walked out of the store without attempting to pay for it. The store clerk saw what was happening and attempted to stop the suspect as he was getting into his navy blue Ford F-150. The suspect then placed the truck into reverse and in the process of trying to get away, he backed into a set of gas pumps, causing them to fall to the ground and catch on fire. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction. Houston PD #577979-20

Note: The clerk stated that the suspect has been in the store in the past, so it is possible that the suspect lives in the area.

Suspect description: #1 White or Hispanic male, medium build, goatee, dark hair, blue shirt, white shorts and black shoes. Vehicle description: Dark colored (possibly navy blue) Ford F-150 with paper plates.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case. Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org
