Suspect Fools Car Salesman, Steals Car at Gunpoint

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect(s) responsible for an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Saturday, June 20, 2020 at approximately 3:11 pm, the complainant had arranged to meet with a male named “Brian Smith” after posting a used 2013 Ford F-150 for sale on the LetGo app. The male agreed to meet with the complainant at his car dealership located at 5300 Rampart Street, in Houston, Texas. The complainant noticed that the male was under 21 years of age, so he did not allow him to drive the vehicle. The male then asked to be the passenger as the complainant drove the vehicle. A second unknown male followed them during the test drive in a white four-door Infinity. As they were test-driving the truck, the male pulled out a handgun and forced the complainant out of the vehicle. Both vehicles then fled the scene following each other. Houston PD #814365-20
